Today we visited the newly relocated Post Office inside Seacroft Hub. The Library, Housing Offices and Post Office are now based in Deacon House just next to Seacroft Bus Station. This is my second visit to the Hub, having visited the Housing office last week. Housing services were fantastic, helpful and friendly. The premises are great all newly refurbished, the library has several computer stations for customers to use, well worth a visit.
We are delighted to have our next two day trips booked. Come an join us! Thursday 1st June we are visiting Helmsley. A lovely market town, with many places to eat, we take a fully accessible coach, there are several pick up points in the Seacroft area, leaving approx 10 am. We charge £6 for the coach, superb value for money. Thursday 13th July one of our favourite days out to Bridlington. If you are over 75, or live with someone over 75 you are entitled to a free TV Licence. This is not applied automatically you do need to apply. It is best to apply before you reach 75 though refunds are available for those who apply later. Just ring the TV licensing help line 0300 90 6071 or online via their website www.tvlicensing.co.uk
The Bank of England has warned British households that they need to spend or exchange old style £5 notes before they become worthless after May 5th. The Bank of England estimates that the number of old notes in circulation has already halved, but that still means there are 165million of the notes still out there. High street banks are not obliged to exchange them after the May deadline, but the Bank of England has a legal obligation to do so.
We offer a Chair based exercise class on a Wednesday for the over 60’s, a great way to stay well and have fun. We would love to see you. Wednesday 1.45 pm to 2.45 pm come give it a try.
